Ultra-Red™ GA-140-UR is a UV/Visible light-curable Form-In-Place/Cure-In-Place (FIP/CIP) Gasketing Resin formulated for fuel cell, automotive door handle, appliance housing, and critical electronic assembly and device applications which require soft, tack-free, low-outgassing, flexible gaskets with compression set. This gasketing material has good adhesion to nylon and plastic surfaces. This product fluoresces bright red under low-intensity "black" light (365nm). The bright red fluorescence contrasts extremely well on plastics that naturally fluoresce blue in color (like PVC) and greatly assists with visual inspection of the gasket area.
Dymax GA-140-UR gasketing resin can be dispensed into intricate and complex configurations with the added benefit of curing in-line which allows for increased production speed, greater output, lower processing costs, and reduced inventories.

Dymax materials are solvent free and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. This product is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC and 2003/11EC.
Compression Set % (85°C, 22 hr)** :
Substrates: Most Plastics (ABS, PVC, PC, PMMA); Nylon
Package Sizes Available*:
30 mL Syringe (MR)
160 mL Cartridge
*In Europe materials are sold in g/kg not mL/L
**Compression set is expressed as percentage of deflection per ASTM D395 Method B at 25% deflection. To determine percent recovery, subtract 1/4 of the value from 100%. For example, the recovery is 98.8% with a 5% compression set.

Compare Dymax UV/Visible Light-Curing Spot Lamps
Dymax spot-curing systems provide very high intensity (3,000-8,000 mW/cm2 (320-395 nm)) over a small area (typically <½", 5 mm diameter). These intensities usually result in a 0.5-5 second cure time. Dymax spot-curing systems utilize an integral timed/manual shutter and typically require little external shielding. An intensity adjustment feature aids users in both validating and controlling a UV light-curing process.
Spot lamp systems are ideal for curing small areas quickly and can be easily integrated into an automated assembly process or used as a turnkey bench-top system.

Compare Dymax UV/Visible Light-Curing Flood Lamps
Dymax UV light-curing flood-lamp systems offer moderate to high intensity (75-225 mW/cm2) over a large area (5" x 5" or 8" x 8" (127 mm x 127 mm or 203 mm x 203 mm)). These lamps are ideal for curing areas larger than ½" (12.7 mm) in diameter or curing many small parts simultaneously.
Dymax UV light-curing flood-lamp systems can be incorporated into conveyors, automated assembly systems, or used as turnkey bench-top units.
1 Intensity readings vary widely depending on the make and model of the radiometer. These intensities were measured with the ACCU-CAL™ 50 radiometer.
Compare Dymax UV/Visible Light-Curing Conveyor Systems
Dymax conveyors incorporate either flood or focused-beam curing systems. The benefits of light-curing conveyors include consistent cure times and the ability to cure larger parts. Another benefit of conveyors is that they completely shield operators from UV light. Dymax conveyors have 12" wide belts, and can be configured for 6" and 12" width curing. Conveyor speed is tightly controlled and typically ranges from 1-27.5 feet per minute (although faster conveyors are available). Dymax light-curing conveyors can be outfitted with different types of lamps and up to four lamps on a single conveyor.
1These conveyors require 120 volts. 230 volt conveyors are also available.
