Margo Martin Named Global Account Manager

Dymax Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Margo Martin to Global Account Manager. In her new position, Margo will report to Jennifer Mann, Director of Sales and Marketing, and focus on several key global accounts to help them solve their most complex application problems and reduce manufacturing costs. Previously, Margo held the position of Territory Sales Manager and was the North America Top Producer for 2012. Prior to that, she was an Application Engineer for four years. Margo holds a BS degree in Management & Engineering for Manufacturing from the University of Connecticut. Read more…

Marufur Rahim Joins Dymax as R&D Manager

Dymax Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Marufur Rahim as R&D Manager. In his new position, Marufur will report to Stephen LaCroce, Director of Technology, and will manage the R&D Adhesives Laboratory, oversee manufacturing support, and establish new product development programs and objectives. He will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing approved research and development activities as necessary for new product development, coordinate interdepartmental activities, and provide support to sales and application engineering. Matthew Sheridan Joins Dymax as Sales Manager, Oligomers and Coatings

Dymax is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Sheridan to Sales Manager, Oligomers and Coatings. In his new position, Matt will report to Jennifer Mann, Director of Sales and Marketing, and be responsible for the management of Global Sales and Sales Channel Partners. Prior to joining Dymax, Matt was the Business Manager, North America, for Lamberti. He also held positions as Technical Sales Manager for Rahn USA Incorporated, and Marketing and Business Development Product Manager for Ashland Incorporated. Read more…

New Optical Display Adhesives Maintain Optical Clarity

Non-yellowing formula provides better performance and aesthetics

Dymax Corporation’s new family of Ultra Light-Weld^® optical display and touch screen adhesives are available in varying viscosities for use in flat panel display bonding where bond strength, non-yellowing, and re-workability characteristics are important. The two low-viscosity materials, 9701 and 9702, offer easy-flow characteristics for panel laminations while 9703, the higher viscosity product, is available for damming requirements. These materials are easily re-workable for removal or repair by conventional methods such as wire cutting, while maintaining their bond strength over time.  This can significantly increase yield and reduce display screen rejects. Read more…

FIP/CIP Gasket Helps Eliminate Failures Caused by Adhesion Loss

Resistant to High-Temperature and High-Moisture Environments

Dymax has introduced Ultra Light-Weld^® GA-145, a UV/Visible light-curable Form-In-Place and Cure-In-Place gasket for fuel cell sealing applications. This chemical- and moisture-resistant gasket is formulated to be tack free, yet soft and flexible, with low outgassing after cure. It can be dispensed in intricate and complex configurations with the added benefit of in-line curing which allows for increased production speed and reduced inventories. The material cures on demand, eliminating the need for racking long-curing alternatives and the waste associated with poorly fitting, or improper alignment of, die-cut gaskets. Read more…

LED-Optimized Medical Electronics Coating Offers Operating Cost Savings

Use of LEDs results in higher electrical efficiency and instant on/off capability

Dymax has introduced MD^® 1901-M, a flexible, high-performance, LED-curable coating for medical micro circuits typically used in hearing aids, wound-care devices, and medical pumps. 1901-M, developed to be tack free immediately after curing, helps prevent potential defects that could occur as a result of components being handled too soon. This low-durometer, flexible coating is ideally suited for flex circuits due to its ability to resist cracking or delamination while the board is being flexed. The product’s secondary heat-cure capability provides a solution for areas that may be shadowed from the light source. Read more...
