UV Adhesives for Optical and Fiber Optic Assembly
DYMAX UV cure optical adhesives and UV cure fiber optic adhesives replace slow uv cure and heat soak processes. DYMAX low stress, low movement UV curable adhesives have the strength of epoxies. UV adhesive cures completely in one to ten seconds when exposed to ultraviolet and visible light from UV curing lamps. High tensile strength UV adhesive bonds of 3,000 psi are typical with shrinkage as low as 0.1%.

UV curable optical adhesives for lens bonding include grades for VCSEL potting, lens fixturing, lens laminating, lens positioning and LCD assembly. UV optical adhesives feature low shrink, low stress characteristics, are single component and exhibit gap filling to 1/4".
UV curable fiber optic adhesives include grades for wavelength vision, multiplexing, fiber pigtailing, fiber optic bonding, positioning laser diodes and 'V'-groove bonding. Optically clear UV adhesives feature low to no movement during cure and thermal excursions (from -50º to 200ºC), exceptionally low shrinkage, both high and low Tg, refractive indices from 1.40 to 1.58 and low outgassing.
DYMAX manufacturers a wide variety of UV curing systems including UV curing flood lamps, UV curing spot lamps and UV ovens. UV curing lamps are matched to optimize the curing capabilities of the UV curable adhesives and the processing requirements of most applications.
