UV Curing Form-In-Place (FIP) Gaskets

DYMAX form-in-place (FIP) gaskets cure completely in as little as 15 seconds, even to 1/4 inch thick beads, with good compression set.  UV light curing, FIP gaskets eliminate ovens, racking, stacking and waiting for traditional FIP gaskets to cure.  Designed for flat surfaces or wide, shallow grooves, permanent FIP gaskets can eliminate the delay experienced with slow curing resins and the design and inventory expense associated with pre-cut gaskets.  DYMAX gaskets are available with a slick to pressure sensitive surface tack and come in low to high, non-sag viscosities. They have excellent adhesion to plastics, glass and metal and are ideal for trim assembly, sound and vibration dampening and non-skid applications.

GA-140
Fuel cells and critical electronic assemblies Tack-free; soft gasket material with high adhesion to plastics while providing a barrier to prevent absorption or penetration of air, dust, moisture, liquids and gaseous substances; low out-gassing; cures in seconds; viscosity allows for varying bead heights; one part; silicone free; conforms to intricate channels or recesses; excellent tear resistance for serviceable and limited service applications
DYMAX FIP gaskets are for sealing against atmospheric moisture, debris and other contaminants.  Resistance against moisture and chemicals will depend upon the temperature, the length of exposure, and the geometry of the part.  Service life and suitability must be determined by the user for each application.

CASE HISTORY:
A DYMAX form-in-place gasket replaced an RTV silicone gasket.  The result was one assembly line that replaced
more than two silicone lines.  This enabled the manufacturer to speed production, use less floor space, improve product yield,
reduce the labor used to shuffle parts and J.I.T. manufacturing, all while improving the service life of their assembly.
