Rod lenses provide uniform ultraviolet curing of large areas and eliminate distortion and movement in optical applications, such as casting lenses and domes and positioning of fiber optic components. Cool curing rod lenses are ideal for potting
applications or curing of heat sensitive parts because resin surfaces are protected from heat and scorching that can obstruct cure depth. An 8 mm lightguide is required to use rod lenses.
