In the Appliance Design article, author Virginia P. Read, Market Segment Manager, DYMAX, points out that light-curable adhesive systems can enable numerous assembly process improvements in the areas of throughput, quality, durability, labor costs, and improved work safety. The article guides the reader through establishing the application requirements for the adhesive or sealant and identifying the ideal performance criteria, both of which provide the foundation for the selection process. Kyle Rhodes, Medical Market Manager, DYMAX, addresses these same issues in his article in Medical Design, but with additional information geared toward the medical device industry, such as biocompatibility.
