Seeing is Believing! New Webinar Discusses the Benefits of See-Cure Technology

DYMAX recently took part in an hour-long webinar, “Seeing is Believing!” hosted by Machine Design and Medical Design. During the webinar, Market Segment Managers, Virginia Read, Jonathan Galaska, and Mark Pizzuto discussed DYMAX's patented See-Cure technology. Viewers learned about the basics of UV light-curing technology, the key benefits of See-Cure technology, and applications where both are used. The webinar has been archived and is now available to view. Click here to register to view “Seeing is Believing!” and learn more about See-Cure technology.

9422-SC Ruggedizing Material

Ensure Critical Components on PCBs Remain Intact with 9422-SC

Ultra Light-Weld® 9422-SC is a component ruggedizing and staking material engineered to hold critical components, such as Ball Grid Arrays (BGA) and Video Graphics Arrays (VGA), in place for secondary processes or long-term reliability.  The material cures in seconds at room temperature and is engineered specifically for bonding high-value PCB components. 9422-SC also helps enhance shock and vibration resistance of electronic assemblies.  Bead shape is designed to wet both the board surface and the component edge without seeping into shadowed areas.  9422-SC is halogen and silicone free and RoHS compliant.  Learn more…

Versatile, Peelable Masking Resin Simplifies Masking Processes

SpeedMask® 726-SC is a UV/Visible light-curable masking resin formulated to provide excellent surface protection of turbine and metal components during many plating, anodizing, air plasma spray, blasting, and powder-coating processes.  This resin, formulated with See-Cure technology, starts out bright blue in its uncured state, making it highly visible on substrates.  During the light-curing process, the blue color transitions to pink indicating that sufficient light energy was received, providing a visual indication that the material is cured.  This visual cure-indicator may initially be used to qualify the process, and then be used to ensure that the process remains within the qualified parameters. TECH TIP

Q: "The performance of my liquid lightguide seems to be deteriorating – what could be the problem?"

A: Your lightguide might need to be cleaned.  A dirty lightguide may not look dirty, but a thin film of contamination can reduce transmission by over 50%.  Liquid lightguides should be cleaned periodically to remove foreign material and deposition from outgassing.  This ensures that maximum UV light transmission is achieved.  Learn more…
