Versatile Digital Syringe Dispenser Offers Precise Control and Eliminates Manual Dispensing

Dymax’s SD-100 digital syringe dispenser accurately dispenses low- to high-viscosity materials. Operators are able to quickly and easily set up the system for the deposit size needed by utilizing the digital timer control and adjustable pressure gauge. The digital timer has a range of 0.01 to 9999 seconds giving the operator precise control over fluid dispense, and the adjustable vacuum suck-back results in clean, drip-free shut-off of materials. This dispensing system replaces manual syringe dispensers and squeeze bottles, reducing operator fatigue. It is ideal for use as an operator work station and can also be integrated into an automated process by connecting an external signal to the system input. Read more…

Fast-Curing LCP Adhesive Provides Instant Bonds on Speaker Substrates

Ultra Light-Weld® 9671 is a UV/Visible light-curable adhesive designed for bonding LCP (liquid crystal polymer) on microspeaker housings. It has demonstrated success on a variety of substrates including PAR, PEN, LCP, and voice coils, with bonds generally exceeding the strength of the substrates bonded. Curing completely in as little as five seconds upon exposure to long wave UV and/or visible light, 9671 provides environmentally resistant, high-strength bonds. Its ability to cure quickly allows for increased production speed and throughput, lower processing costs, and reduced inventories. Read more...

In-Line Curing Gasket Formulated with See-Cure Technology Features Built-In Cure Indicator

See-Cure GA-140-SC is a UV/Visible light-curable, Form-In-Place (FIP), Cure-In-Place (CIP) gasketing resin that is ideal for applications requiring soft, tack-free, flexible gaskets for sealing fuel cells, critical electronic assemblies such as LCD frame assemblies, and plastic assemblies. Formulated with patented See-Cure technology, GA-140-SC is bright blue in an uncured state, enabling automated vision systems and manual operations to confirm placement prior to cure.  As the product cures with sufficient exposure, its blue color transitions to clear and provides obvious visual confirmation that the adhesive is fully cured and the bond site is secure. TECH TIP
Q: "How can I reverse adhesive crystallization? Will the adhesive be compromised in any way?”
A: Only a very small number of adhesives are susceptible to crystallization and the likelihood of this phenomenon actually occurring is slight. If you do experience crystallization, heat will reverse the process and restore the adhesive to its liquid state with no loss in performance. There is no effect on strength, viscosity, or any other adhesives property. Tests performed at Dymax indicate that heating the original container of crystallized adhesive (in an oven or in a warm-water bath) to 100°F adhesive temperature) will return the adhesive to its uncrystallized, liquid state.
