Ultra Light-Weld® Versatile Glass-to-Metal Bonding Adhesive

Dymax Ultra Light-Weld® 431 is a versatile glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal bonding adhesive that is formulated to be resistant to high-temperature and high-moisture environments while maintaining superior adhesion and flexibility. This adhesive was designed with low shrinkage which results in reduced stress on the bond line or larger cured surfaces. This UV/Visible light-curable adhesive is also formulated to cure with Dymax broad spectrum equipment, as well as our narrow spectrum, BlueWave® LED Prime UVA spot curing lamp.

Dymax 431 glass bonding adhesive is ideal for assembly applications in the glass, appliance, and lighting markets. This material is designed for rapid bonding of glass and metal (stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper) and can also be considered for bonding a wide variety of plastics such as ABS, CAP, PA, PC, PCTG, PEBA, PEEK, PET, PETG, PI, PVC, and SAN, as well as ceramic and FR4.

Dymax materials are solvent free and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. This product is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC and 2003/11EC.

Dymax spot-curing systems provide very high intensity (3,000-8,000 mW/cm2 (320-395 nm)) over a small area (typically <½", 5 mm diameter). These intensities usually result in a 0.5-5 second cure time. Dymax spot-curing systems utilize an integral timed/manual shutter and typically require little external shielding. An intensity adjustment feature aids users in both validating and controlling a UV light-curing process.

Spot lamp systems are ideal for curing small areas quickly and can be easily integrated into an automated assembly process or used as a turnkey bench-top system.

Compare Dymax UV/Visible Light-Curing Conveyor Systems

Dymax conveyors incorporate either flood or focused-beam curing systems. The benefits of light-curing conveyors include consistent cure times and the ability to cure larger parts. Another benefit of conveyors is that they completely shield operators from UV light. Dymax conveyors have 12" wide belts, and can be configured for 6" and 12" width curing. Conveyor speed is tightly controlled and typically ranges from 1-27.5 feet per minute (although faster conveyors are available). Dymax light-curing conveyors can be outfitted with different types of lamps and up to four lamps on a single conveyor.
