Packaging Set-Up Operator Position Summary: Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of packaging equipment. Follow established procedures, packaging process, and safely, operate the proper equipment required to fill and package products and WIP into finished products to the highest quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities: Planning daily work schedule; keeping track of equipment needed to package products for the daily production schedule; make sure manufacturing area is clean and organized with good housekeeping practices to minimize accidents; maintain all packaging equipment and notify supervisor of any equipment problems; perform scheduled production equipment preventive maintenance; follow work instructions exactly and record correctly all required information legibly and accurately - note any comments which may indicate quality concerns; safely operate packaging equipment only as instructed by supervisor, work instruction, or equipment manual; understand and follow safe handling procedures for all products; maintain a clean, organized and safe work station - spills of any products or solvents must be cleaned immediately; properly train packaging operators to follow instruction for packaging equipment.
Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Work experience in production equipment required. Good math skills required. At least one year experience working in manufacturing.
Engineer, Applications/Projects
Dymax is seeking an Applications Engineer for our growing Medical Sales Division. This position reports directly to our Vice-President of our Medical Sales Division.
Requirements: 3 years technical service or technical support experience with assembly related products; Ability to propose creative solutions to customer inquiries; Ability to comfortably interface directly with customers in the medical device industry; Understanding of basic mechanical assembly concepts; Ability to maintain clear, concise summaries of project work and recommendations; Ability to design meaningful test criteria to validate recommended solutions; Interest to grow into technical sales.
Desirable: Knowledge of adhesives used in component assembly; Knowledge of ancillary assembly equipment ie, UV curing, dispensing, robotics, automation, etc.; Knowledge of medical device assembly and process validation.
Education: Four year Engineering or Chemistry degree or equivalent.
